They walked hand-in-hand for the first time through this park.
Oh my heart
Andie and Josh had one of their first dates at Retzer Nature Center in Waukesha, so they really wanted to go back here for their engagement session. I was all for it too! I knew of Retzer, and I knew how gorgeous the trees were, but I had yet to do a photoshoot there. And it definitely delivered! It’s such a good winter spot too.
Andie and Josh both live on the east coast right now, so we made sure to fit their photos in while they were home for the holidays.
We took a few photos in downtown Waukesha, close to their wedding venue first. They wanted to include their adorable pup Dakota. Since we couldn’t bring dogs to Retzer, we took a little time to walk around by the river.
And in true Wisconsin form, Andie pulled off the cutest dress in the middle of winter (the temps did jump from 8 to 38! ). She’s still braver than me though!
They’ll also be having a winter wedding – almost one year exactly from when we took their engagement photos. They’ll be getting married in the Historic Courthouse 1893 in Waukesha.
Loved spending the afternoon with you Andie and Josh! Take a peek at some of my favorites!
