Zoe and Dan had their first date in high school at the UW Memorial Union, so of course we took engagement pictures there!
We also went to my favorite winter spot at the UW Arboretum, and had the prettiest combination of green grass and a dusting of snow! Seriously, how do we keep getting so lucky with light snow flakes falling during these winter sessions!? You can really see the snowflakes in the Memorial Union photos – It was picking up by the end of our session!
UW Arboretum in winter
Winter in Wisconsin can be tough for photo shoots, especially if there isn’t fresh snow on the ground. The Arboretum is one of my go-to spots year round, but especially in the winter because there’s a section of pine trees that just look so alive! While much of what we see during the winter is dead and dreary, this spot coupled with a little bit of snow is perfect!
Zoe and Dan are getting married at The Edgewater in September and I canβt wait!
Why do engagement photos?
