Bailee and Adam’s wedding day encompassed so much of what Madison wedding photography is all about. They had a beautiful High Point Church wedding, a private portrait session at Pope Farm, and some perfect sunset photos on gorgeous land. I can’t wait for you to see so many of my favorites from their wedding gallery!
These two have the SWEETEST love story. Adam has set the bar pretty high as far as proposals go. The two met through church and had their first date at Michelangelo’s Coffee House in downtown Madison. On the day of Adam’s proposal, Bailee’s friends told her they were going to go downtown for a BFF photoshoot. They suggested a stop at Michelangelo’s first, and when Bailee walked in, Adam was already sitting there. She instantly knew she had been “duped,” but Adam kept her waiting for the rest of the day. They revisited some of their favorite spots in Madison.
The whole time, Bailee knew what was going on, but neither one of them acknowledged it. She said she felt so nervous. I can picture them both wriggling with anticipation, neither one acknowledging the elephant in the room. Finally, Adam took her downtown by the Capitol building, where he had a picnic blanket, a hand-written letter, and a proposal waiting for her. Cue all the “awwwws!” (See their engagement photos!)
Wedding Ceremony at High Point Church in Madison
I love when couples choose wedding venues that are special to their relationship. Bailee and Adam’s wedding couldn’t have aligned any better with their love story! The two married at High Point Church, on Old Sauk Road in Madison. They actually met each other at this church! They are actively involved in activities and worship there. We could tell how special it was to them, even from our first conversation.
I was also in awe of their wedding reception. Bailee sent me a mock up of their vision early in the planning days. I could tell it was going to be beautiful – But it blew my expectations out of the water! They were able to hold their reception in a field behind the private school where Bailee is a teacher. The land was beautiful, and her white tent vision really came to life. From a wedding photography perspective, white tents are a dream for bright and airy photography. Bailee and Adam’s decorations and lighting (By DJ Dutch) turned the tent into a luxurious reception – you would never know you were in a tent behind a school!
Madison wedding photography at Pope Farm Conservancy
One of my favorite parts of the wedding day was taking a quick trip out to Pope Farm Conservancy in Middleton. Just the four of us – Bailee, Adam, myself and Ryan. Pope Farm is a gorgeous location for Madison wedding photography, and this day there was something extra gorgeous in the air! We had a beautiful, sunny fall day, and their couples’ portraits at Pope Farm are some of my absolute favorite. (Check out some more of my favorite Madison wedding photography locations here). I loved that Bailee and Adam set aside some time in their day to go off and take pictures, away from the hustle and bustle from the wedding day. If only for a moment, it’s invaluable to have that time to just enjoy each other on your wedding day.
From getting ready with her girls to her first look with dad to their raving dance floor, we loved being a part of their wedding day. Check out our favorites below!
