I LOVE a bright color palette, and there’s no better time for it than a spring wedding! I still can’t believe the sunny 80 degree day we had for Derica and Tanner’s wedding day. It snowed two days later by the way…welcome to April in Wisconsin!
A Lake Windsor Country Club Wedding in Madison, WI
Lake Windsor Country Club, a wedding venue just north of Madison, is a beautiful place for an all-in-one wedding day!
They have a gorgeous spot for an outdoor ceremony, but you can’t go wrong with an indoor ceremony either! Floor-to-ceiling windows frame the ceremony and reception space. There is no shortage of natural light here. The venue also recently updated the reception space. The beams on the ceilings and the new chandeliers make the space look even more elegant. See our dress shot from this wedding – we got to hang it from one of the chandeliers!
One of my good friends from high school also got married here in 2022. I’ve had the pleasure of being a wedding guest and a wedding photographer at Lake Windsor. Both great experiences!
Golden hour on the golf course
Derica got her hair and makeup done at a nearby hotel, and then came to Lake Windsor to get her dress on. We were able to use the beautiful windows in the reception space for both her and Tanner’s getting ready photos. At separate times of course!
We chose a scenic bridge on the golf course for their first look. We were able to get all of their portraits done before their ceremony. And as a bonus, we ended up with the most beautiful golden hour! Golf courses are incredible for golden hour photos.
