Of all the Oshkosh wedding venues, the Paine Art Center weddings are unparalleled. There are endless wedding photography opportunities in the garden, and the reception area in the Carriage House brings in tons of natural light. With its white walls and windows, it’s a bright and airy photographer’s dream come true! The way the sun shines through during golden hour is impeccable! It should almost be a requirement that you set aside some time to take golden hour photos at your wedding.
Sarah has been one of my best friends for 15 (!!!) years. We met in high school when I was a freshman and she was a junior. I walked confidently onto the tennis court, and asked her why her hair got so sweaty (we still talk about this as if it is our “meet cute”. Despite what Sarah says, this was not our first interaction). We became close friends, and have made so many memories, on and off the tennis court, throughout the years.
I recently had the honor of being in Sarah’s wedding at the Paine Art Center, and it was gorgeous! Sarah and Josh had to postpone their original wedding day due to COVID. It was so much fun to get to see them finally enjoy the day they deserved. Before the big party though, I also had the honor to be the wedding photographer for their intimate ceremony in 2020. With just their immediate family members, they tied the knot in the gardens at the Paine. Even in their slightly more casual elopement outfit (and I only say that because Sarah’s actual wedding dress is a dream), these two looked like they belonged in a fairytale!
I am originally from Oshkosh, and I still had no idea how truly beautiful the Paine Art Center is! I definitely fell in love with it that night. While there are a lot of wonderful Oshkosh wedding venues, the Paine is definitely one to add to your list of tours! I am so glad Sarah and Josh got to experience its beauty for their wedding TWICE!
