Oshkosh Engagement Photography — A few raindrops, a little wind, a portable DJ (Aaron), a rainbow, and an infinite amount of laughs. That only begins to sum up Jordan and Aaron’s downtown Oshkosh engagement session! I could tell just through emails and texts that these two were so enthusiastic for their engagement photos, and I […]

Wisconsin Wedding Photography at the Woodfire Lodge — It felt so good to celebrate something on Saturday! Despite a tough, uncertain year, Ashley and Tyler were still able to enjoy their wedding day with their family and friends at the Woodfire Lodge in the tiny town of Brillion, Wisconsin. The day was beautiful (and humid!), […]

There were two things I noticed immediately when I stepped out of my car for Sara and Mike’s engagement session at Horicon Marsh: Bugs and birds. And not just any birds – the red-winged blackbird. (And then I did notice how beautiful the Horicon Marsh is, and how I can’t believe there’s a place like […]

This sweet girl is one! It was a warm, but beautiful evening for a family photography session at James Madison Park! After E’s one year photos, I had, “If all the rain drops were lemon drops and gumdrops, oh what a rain that would be!” stuck in my head for DAYS!! I was a Barney […]

Over Memorial Day Weekend, I took pictures of actual humans for the first time since the coronavirus pandemic started! For the last few months, I’ve mainly been taking pictures of inanimate objects (see: Easter Bunny family photos). These cap and gown sessions were new to me, but they were so much fun! As a bonus, […]

My kid hates getting his picture taken! If you’ve said this before, it may be true. I don’t know too many people, kids or adults, who LOVE getting their picture taken, especially during a professional family photography session. For adults, it’s often because they don’t know what to do, how to stand, or what the […]

We kept Ethan’s senior photography session in Waunakee short and sweet, just the way he wanted it. Sometimes guys don’t want to make a big to-do about their senior photos. I’ve been thinking a lot about the 2020 seniors lately, and what they’re facing right now. My entire junior year of high school I couldn’t wait for senior year, and my entire senior year I couldn’t wait for graduation! I had been thinking about high school graduation since I was in middle school. By the […]

I used to babysit this girl!!! Okay, I technically watched her sister when Lyle was beyond the point of needing a sitter. But still. She’s getting married! Crazy. I’ve known Lyle’s family for many years, and I ended up watching her sister because we both have type 1 diabetes. Lyle’s family is heavily involved with […]

First year, first website April 18 marked one year to the day that I sat in a Starbucks with an hour to kill and thought, “I should probably make this thing official.” I had been working on a launching a photography business for a couple of months. I wasn’t sure where it would all take […]

It's tough to say which one of us loves the dance floor more (Ryan won't admit it, but you'll see)
Ryan and I met through our jobs in the journalism industry. Story-telling is engrained in the way we see the world. Our own story had plenty of twist and turns that led us to where we are today, so we know how significant it is that you found each other. We know your wedding day is about more than the decor and the party - it's a celebration of the obstacles you overcame, the fate that brought you together, and the love that you will never take for granted. We are wedding photographers because we want you to have a high-end experience that honors every part of that journey, just as we would.
